Saudi Ports handle 133 million tons of cargo during the first half of 2019

RIYADH — The total tonnage cargo handled in Saudi ports during the first half of 2019 was over 133 million tons with an increase of 4.32%. The number of handling containers reached 3.4 million, an increase of 9.22%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, according to the Saudi Ports Authority “MAWANI”.

The number of vessels in the Saudi ports during the first half of 2019 was (6102) vessels, the number of passengers (754,000) while the number of vehicles (319,000), and the number of livestock 3 million heads. — SG
