Fire in Sakaka industrial city; 20 workers evacuated

QURAYYAT —
The Civil Defense teams have evacuated as many as 20 workers from the first industrial city in Sakaka after fire broke out in a number of commercial shops.

Spokesman of the Civil Defense, Capt. Abdul Rahman Al-Diwaihi, said there were no deaths or injuries in the fire which spread over an area of 35x60 meters.

He said all the workers were safely evacuated before the fire could spread in the workshops and other facilities.

The spokesman said a number of ministries and government departments helped extinguish the fire including the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the ministry of environment, water and agriculture, the police, the security patrols and the Saudi Electricity Company.
