MANAMA — Bahrain King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa on Wednesday at the Safriya Palace received Saudi Ambassador Dr. Abdullah Bin Abulmalik Al Sheikh, and conferred on him with a top honor, Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday.

The King awarded the First-class Order of Bahrain to the Saudi Ambassador in appreciation of his efforts in promoting the fraternal ties between the two sisterly kingdoms.

The King highlighted the close Bahraini-Saudi relations and paid tribute to the key Saudi role, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, in maintaining security and stability in the region.

The Saudi Ambassador, on receiving the medal, expressed thanks for the recognition and hailed the Bahrain King's efforts to develop close cooperation between the two countries. — SPA
