Consulate marks Thai king’s 67th birthday

JEDDAH —
The Royal Thai Consulate General here organized a ceremony this week at the residence of the consul general to celebrate the occasion of 67th birthday of King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.

Consul General Soradjak Puranasamriddhi led approximately 150 Thai officials and members of the Thai community in the Western Region of the Kingdom in expressing their loyalty with best wishes for the continued good health, longevity and happiness of his majesty the king.

Chareef Yothasmuth, Haj Consular, on behalf of the Thai Muslim community in the Western Region, delivered the Sheikhul Islam of Thailand’s sermon (khutbah) on the king’s birthday which emphasized the need for Thai Muslims to be grateful for the ability to live peacefully in Thailand and to express their loyalty to the royal family and do good deeds for the nation.
