Sight Dhul Hajjah crescent Thursday: Supreme Court

RIYADH —
The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to sight Dhul Hajjah crescent on Thursday.

The Supreme Court called on any one sighting the crescent by naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony.

1,168,203 pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia

A total of 1,168,203 pilgrims have arrived so far in the Kingdom, according to statistics issued by the Saudi General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

The Jawazat said the number of pilgrims arriving by air stood at 1,095,584, by land 60,886, and by sea 11,733.

A total of 136,988 male and female pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom via the Makkah Route Initiative (MRI) on board 343 flights during the period Dhul Qa’dah 1–26. Of these, 86,445 arrived in Jeddah and 50,543 in Madinah.

The total number of pilgrims who arrived in Madinah have so far reached 716,284, according to daily statistics issued by the Committee of Haj and Visit in Madinah region.
