Bahrain sentence 9 people to jail for terror activities

MANAMA — A Bahraini court on Wednesday sentenced nine people to jail for supporting terrorist activities, Bahrain News Agency reported quoting the Bahraini Public Prosecution.

The suspects were receiving, carrying and giving money to fund terrorist groups and harboring suspects implicated in criminal cases, Attorney General Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi said, according to the report.

The court sentenced one suspect to six years in jail and slapped a fine of 100,000 Bahraini dinars. Three others were given one-year sentence and a fine of 2,000 Bahrain dinars each. — Agencies
