RIYADH —The Saudi-led Coalition forces intercepted and shot down a drone launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia toward civilian facilities in Khamees Mushayt on Thursday noon. This was announced by Col. Turki Al-Maliki, spokesman of the Coalition forces to restore legitimacy in Yemen.

Al-Maliki explained that the attempts of the Houthi militia to launch drones are doomed to failure as the Coalition is taking all operational procedures and the best means to deal with these drones in order to protect civilians and civilian facilities.

He emphasized that the Command of the joint forces of the coalition would continue implementing deterrent measures against this terrorist militia to neutralize and destroy such capabilities, and that is strictly in line with the international humanitarian law and its customary rules. —
