DAMMAM — The Labor Office in Al-Khobar governorate has retrieved a total amount of SR8,253,043 to settle dues for the month of September owed to 195 expatriate workers employed by two companies.

The workers’ dues were in the form of several months’ unpaid salaries for different reasons.

Of the 195 expatriate workers, the companies owed over SR3 million to 99 Indian workers; over SR2 million to 66 workers of Nepalese and Pakistani nationalities; SR600,000 to nine Egyptian workers; while the remaining amount of SR420,000 was owed to a minority of several nationalities.

The Director General of Al-Khobar Labor Office Mansour Aal Bin Ali praised the diligence of labor office staff for their concern, speeding up the paperwork of stalled companies and settling the dues owed to workers fast, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Labor and its Eastern Province branch.
