RIYADH — Minister of Justice Sheikh Walid Al-Samaani has issued a directive to set up a mechanism to facilitate transactions pertaining to heirs of martyrs, thereby ensuring the speedy completion and prioritizing them, in line with the orders of the highest authorities.

On queries by some notaries with regard to delivery of checks to family members of martyrs, and the studies carried out by the concerned authorities at the ministry in this regard, sources at the ministry told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the checks should be delivered and distributed by the notaries either equally or in accordance with the division based on Shariah rules among the heirs of martyrs, even if they include minors.

The source said that if the check includes amount for the purpose of purchase of a house, it should be in the jurisdiction of the notary except in the case of minors. Such cases of minors come in the purview of a court, the sources added.
