Private sector is key pillar of national economy: Al-Sugeir

RIYADH –
Dr. Faisal Bin Hamad Al-Sugeir, CEO of the Saudi Center for International Strategic Companies (SCISC), said that the government of Saudi Arabia, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, believes that the private sector is a key pillar of the country’s national economy, and a strategic partner in the success of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

He made the remarks during the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Saudi Chinese Exhibition for the Employment of Saudi Nationals here.

Al-Sugeir and Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing inaugurated the exhibition at Prince Sultan University.

The exhibition was organized by Saudi Center for International Strategic Companies in cooperation with Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Embassy of China, Muhammad Bin Salman Charity Foundation (MISK), and liaison office of Chinese companies in Riyadh.

Addressing the event, Al-Sugeir said the Kingdom views a developing role of the Chinese companies operating in the Kingdom, citing that more than 150 Chinese companies are doing business in the Kingdom and extending a hand of investment and cultural contacts to the Saudi people.

Al-Sugeir said this initiative comes to embody the distinguished status the Kingdom is enjoying and reflecting the prominent importance the developing relations between the Kingdom and China are witnessing amid the care and interest of the leaderships of the two countries.

He pointed to the importance of teaching Chinese language at senior Saudi educational levels upon a decision taken by the king and coincided by the historical visit to China by the crown prince.
