MiSK center to prepare youth to study in foreign universities

The MiSK Initiatives Center of The Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Foundation (MiSK), represented by the MiSK Fellowship (and Training Initiative), has once again opened the door for students to join the program to “prepare for the university stage”.

The program helps male and female students in enroll in one of the best universities in the world, via an intensive training program simultaneously with the studies in the secondary school stage.

Registration for joining the program will continue until Nov. 10, 2019 corresponding to Rabee’ Al-Awwal, 1441H via the foundation’s website.

The program is based on enhancing the chances for accepting male and female secondary school students in an elite of world universities, including the universities of Columbia and Stanford in the US and Oxford and Cambridge in Britain.

The male and female students will join a series of intensive training programs to build the secondary school student’s university personality, enable them to cross safely to university education and begin a fruitful academic life in the university.

The first stage of the “Preparation for the University Program” will target first year secondary school students to enroll in the first year summer in the training program that simulates their future academic experience in one of the most prestigious universities in the world. The program will continue for seven weeks during which the students will experience details of university life. They will also join many academic activities in the university.

In the summer of the second year, the student will join a series of training courses aiming to improve the student’s academic skills and help him overcome the obstacles he might face when applying for admission in one of the targeted universities.

In this stage, several academic guides will prepare the students to sit for a series of tests for acceptance in the university, like SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, AP and A levels. They will also receive training on how to write an article on enrolling in the university. The students will receive assistance to specify the university that suits their interests.

In the final stage, the program “Preparation for the University Stage” will assign a special guide to each student to help him fill and submit the application for enrolling in the targeted university, and make his choices from the various specializations, simultaneously with the student’s graduation from secondary school.

The program has specified a set of requirements that the student must fulfill. The student ought to be a regular fulltime student in the first year secondary stage during the current academic year. He should have passed the intermediate stage with an average score of at least 90 percent and he should be fluent in spoken and written English.

Those interested can register in the program via the website until Nov. 9. They should submit recommendation letters, and TOEFL iBT results. Final results will be announced in January 2020.
