PISJ-Green, IISJ-White & BISJ triumph in inaugural matches

Pakistan International School Jeddah – Green (PISJ-Green) pulled off a thrilling win against Pakistan International School Jeddah – English Section (PISJ-ES), International Indian School of Jeddah-White (IISJ - White) too registered an easy victory over International Indian School of Jeddah-Green (IISJ - Green) and Bangladesh International School-Jeddah (BISJ) defeated Al Falah International School (DPS) in the first week of SCC U19 Inter School Tournament under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Center with the support of Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA).

In the first match, PISJ - Green piled up a total of 181 for 8 in 20 overs thanks to splendid batting performance by Bilal (72) and Faizan (28). Hassan Tariq 3 for 36 and Hassan Rafi 2 for 30 were the main wicket-takers for PISJ- ES.

In reply, PISJ-ES could manage 170/2 in their allotted 20 overs thus losing by a narrow margin of 11 runs in a thrilling encounter. Shaheer Imran (51 NO), Hassan Rafi (38 NO) and Hassan Tariq (30) were the main scorers for PISJ-ES. Abdullah Nazeer took 1 for 24.

In the second match, IISJ-White, batting first, scored 167/6 in 20 overs. Mohammed Zubair scored (42) and Fawaz remained unbeaten on 41. Sohail took 3 for 28 and Adeeb 2 for 46.

In response, IISJ-Green was restricted to 101/7 in 20 overs losing by 66 runs. Sohail scored (38). A wicket each was taken by Khalid, Usman, Deepan, Mohammed Zubair, Adiyan and Adil.

Al Falah International School (DPS), batting first, were bundled out for a paltry 84 runs in 16.1 overs. Rayyan Waseem Amre was the only batsman who showed some resistance to BISJ bowlers as he scored (29). Ahmed and Arif took 3 wickets each.

In reply, BISJ scored 85/2 and achieved the target easily in 14 overs thus winning by 8 wickets. Hanif batted magnificently for his unbeaten 55.

PISJ - Green 181 for 8 in 20 overs - Bilal (72), Faizan (28), Hassan Tariq 3 for 36 and Hassan Rafi 2 for 30. PIS -ES 170 for 2 in 20 overs - Shaheer Imran (51*), Hassan Rafi (38*) and Hassan Tariq (30), Abdullah Nazeer took 1 for 24.

IISJ-White 167 for 6 in 20 overs - Mohammed Zubair (42), Fawaz (41*), Sohail 3 for 28, Adeeb 2 for 46. IISJ-Green 101 for 7 in 20 overs, Sohail (38).

Al Falah International School (DPS) 84 all out in 16.1 overs - Rayyan Waseem Amre (29), Ahmed 3 for 10 and Arif 3 for 10. BISJ 85 for 2 in 14 overs – Hanif (55*)
