Veteran Gulzar Mir picks 5 wickets for just 6 runs

RIYADH — Experience cricket Gulzar Mir picked up 5 wickets l for just 6 runs in the ongoing Westen Union T20 tourney. Western Union T20 is being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and is sponsored by Western Union Money Transfer.

Hayer League: Kashmir XI beat Battagram by 7 wickets. Battagram managed a meager 116. Saad and Nawab showed some sign of resistance with 25 runs each. Veteran Gulzar Mir was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed 5 wickets giving away just 6 runs. Sumair picked up 3 while Shafat took 2 wickets. Kashmir got to the target in 15th over. Amir hit 40 and Alamgir scored 23. Saad clinched 2 wickets.

AKCC triumphed over Ashes by 69 runs. Thanks to a blistering knock by Sheraz, AKCC accumulated 260/5. Sheraz smacked 178 off just 66 balls including 30 fours and 4 maximums. Rajesh snared 2 wickets. Ashes managed only 191 runs in reply. Anas slammed 89 and Vivin added 34. Abdul Kadir picked up 3 while Sheraz claimed 2 wickets.

Bengal Tigers won against Ar Riyadh Zalmi by 14 runs. Led by Amirul 55 and Mithun 40, Tigers piled up 194 for 7. Ashiq and Nasir took 2 wickets each. In reply, despite a heroic 81 from Shabbir, Zalmi was restricted to 180 runs. Arif was next best with 28.

Kashmiri Falcons registered a win over Saudi Knights by 90 runs. Kashmiri Falcons collated 219 losing just 1 wicket. Wajid batted brilliantly for his 122 and Babar stroked a stylish 83. Knights, in reply, fumbled to 129 runs only. Zahid scored a standout 65. Nisar ran through the batting line up picking 4 wickets. Saeed and Babar shared 3 wickets each.

Diriyah League: Smashers humbled Green Stonz by 6 wickets. Stonz added 194 for 8 wickets. Parvez smashed 63 and Rashid hit 35. Naveed took 4 wickets. Smashers chased down the target in 19.3 overs. Safwan hammered 65 and Mudassir stroked 38. Sajjad picked up 2 wickets.

Gujrat Lions beat Tamauz by 7 wickets. Tamauz collected 137 in their allotted 20 overs. Salman topscored with 51, Riaz did 26. Rahid bowled an outstanding spell picking up 5 wickets for just 13 runs. Mohsin bagged 3 wickets. Gujrat rushed to the target in just 10.1 overs. Arpan slogged 46 and Yusuf belted 43. Majid took 2 wickets.

Deccan Chargers got better of Indian Strikers Blue by 7 wickets. Indian Strikers were all out for 150 in 17.5 overs. Sabeer 24 and Sajo 23 put some fight. Hameed bagged 5 while Sohail got 2 wickets. Deccan achieved the target in 14th over. Mubashir topscored with 61 and Deepak hit 39. Nishad grabbed 2 wickets.

Kams Indopak thrashed Shinkari United by 7 wickets. Shinkari accumulated 110. Khan Zeb topscored with 32. Waheed snared 5 wickets for just 17 runs. Himayathulla and Abdulrahman took 2 wickets each. Kams hurried to the target in just 9.5 overs. Ikhlaq hit 42 and Abdulrahman made 22.

Phoenix trounced Insaf by 7 wickets. Insaf scored 177 in their allotted overs. Ilyas smashed 74 and Nadeem hit 51. Shamroz and Haseeb took 4 wickets each. In reply, Subayyal stroked a classy 121 and led Phoenix to victory in 15.2 overs.

Karachi Kings won a thriller against Riyadh Thunders by 2 wickets. Thunders piled up 185 for the loss of 6 wickets. Imran slogged 84 and Osama assisted with 22. Umair and Hashim picked up 2 wickets each. Karachi got the target in final over. Ali Arif played a brave knock of 51 before retiring hurt due to dehydration. Umair made 40. Salman and Rafaqat took 3 wickets each.
