LuLu launches Pinoy Fiesta: A festival of Filipino flavors

JEDDAH — LuLu, the largest hypermarket chain in the region, launched its annual Filipino Food Festival “Pinoy Fiesta 2019”, 7 Days of Fun and Food. The week-long fest from Oct. 20 to Oct. 26 offers a wide variety of food products imported from the Philippines. The launch event was inaugurated by Mary Jennifer Dingal, the Consul of the Republic of the Philippines to Jeddah, at LuLu Hypermarket, Amir fawaz in the presence of LuLu officials.

The festival highlights the culinary heritage and food and health hygiene in the Philippines. Moreover, the promotion features the best-quality agriculture produce and Filipino food products from local communities.

Exclusive price-buster offers are made available on a wide variety of imported products with the brands including Mama Sita’s, Del Monte, Jack N Jill, Lemon Square Ligo, CDO, Lucky Me, Datu Puti, UFC, and Century. Dealing with agriculture produce from the Philippines, large lots of langsat, calamansi, chayote, curly parsley, white onion, garlic, Philippine mango, bean sprout, saba, guyabano, jicamas, mangosteen, dragon fruit, pomelo, durian, papaya, camote, rambutan, pineapple, banana, avocado, and sweet corn will be available throughout the promo campaign. Product ranges like milk fish and dried fish are also available during the promotion.

Authentic Philippine flavors will be prepared by LuLu’s chefs, who will be preparing a wide variety of dishes, such as kare kare, adobo, pinakbet, sinigang, kaldereta, pancit, and binagoongan. On the other hand, a huge selection of sweets like pichi-pichi, puto pao, sapin-sapin, maja blanca, buko pie, cassava cakes, ginataang kamote, and buchi are presented in a traditional way and available in attractive prices.
