RIYADH —
Tatweer ( development) company for educational transport, the executive arm of the ministry of education, will make periodical checks and maintenance for school busses during the weekend to ensure the safety of the boy and girl students, the company has said.

It said the company's supervisors will closely follow up the periodic checks and the maintenance of the buses by the contractors during this weekend on Friday and Saturday.

The company said this weekend as many as 112 busses will be checked at Sabarjal at the workshops of the contractor.

The company has signed 4-year contracts with eight contractors in various parts of the Kingdom to undertake the maintenance work.

The busses are transporting about 1.2 million boy and girl students to and from 18,000 schools in various areas of the Kingdom.
