Najm and BIA meet with aim to enhance traffic safety in the GCC

RIYADH — In an effort to elevate knowledge exchange within the GCC vehicle insurance sector, Najm for Insurance Services and Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) conducted a joint meeting on Sunday (Nov. 24) at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Manama, during which Najm outlined its recent technology integration achievements and extensive expertise built by Saudi talents since its inception in 2007.

The two entities, presided by Dr. Mohammad Al Suliman, CEO of Najm, and Mr. Abdulhameed Al Ammadi, General Manager of BIA, discussed methods to strengthen cooperation towards developing the vehicle insurance services in both nations and promoting emerging Saudi expertise within the sector, in aims to achieve safer roads that contribute to an enhanced quality of life as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

In this regard, Dr. Al Suliman described Najm’s expertise as a remarkable example for companies aspiring to adopt technological solutions and operational applications related to traffic systems in the GCC. He also extended his regards and appreciation to BIA’s General Manager, and General Manager of United Insurance, Mr. Al Ammadi for kindly inviting Najm to this meeting which provides a valuable opportunity for sharing best practices related to the sector. Moreover, Dr. Al Suliman highlighted the recent internal development progress accomplished by Najm, including launching a new corporate identity that reflects its strategic goals of enhancing traffic safety, promoting traffic safety awareness, and presenting quality services to various segments of society to achieve a safe and sustainable economic and commercial ecosystem.

Furthermore, Al Sulaiman welcomed further beneficial knowledge exchange opportunities among GCC nations, mentioning the recent cooperation agreement signed with UAE’s Saaed as an example of an endeavor aiming to develop the traffic safety environment in the region. He additionally praised Bahrain’s efforts within the traffic safety and insurance awareness realms.

BIA encompasses around 50 members in addition to numerous local and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies and service providers. It seeks to gather industry leaders to facilitate knowledge exchange and cooperation and achieve enhanced insurance awareness among society’s various sectors. United Insurance is responsible for insuring vehicles crossing the King Fahd Bridge. — SG
