YANBU —
A Saudi man who threw shoes at a number of women who were sitting near a shopping mall in Yanbu, was apprehended and referred to the Public Prosecution prior to sending him to court.

Eyewitnesses said before throwing shoes, the unidentified man verbally called them bad names.

A video clip on the incident went viral on the social media tools.

Lawyer Ibrahim Al-Abadi said the defendant committed a flagrant aggression against a number of women for which he should be tried for the public and private rights.

He said it would not have been considered a crime if the man just advised the women and talked politely to them.

Abadi said the man should not have taken law in his own hands and should have informed the concerned authorities if the women behaved shamelessly.

The security forces were able to reach the man, arrested him and handed him over to the Public Prosecution to prepare a list of charges against him.
