RIYADH — Almarai was honored by the Deputy Emir of Riyadh Province, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in King Saud University, for supporting disabled people as well as obtaining the "Mowaamah" certificate from The Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
“To empower disabled people in our society, we launched the first award of its kind, “Almarai Award for the Ideal Mother," to honor disabled people's mothers in Saudi Arabia,” Abdulla Nasser Al-Otaibi, Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager at Almarai, said. "We have more than 650 disabled employees working for Almarai in variety sectors to be part of our success," Al-Otaibi added.
In 2018, Almarai became the first company that obtained "Mowaamah" certificate in the golden level by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development as a supportive work environment for people with disabilities. Almarai is also a Gold Member and one of the main "Qaderoon" Network founders, which functions to integrate people with disabilities into the employment community in the public and private sectors. — SG
