RIYADH – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is following the developments in Iraq, which is the result of the escalation of tensions and acts of terror the Kingdom had earlier condemned and warned about their consequences, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source as saying on Friday.

With the knowledge on the operations and threats the regional security is being subjected to by terrorist militias, which must be stopped, and in the light of the fast developments, the Kingdom stresses the importance of exercising restraint so as to prevent escalation which can have unforeseen consequences.

The Kingdom urges the international community to shoulder its responsibility in taking the necessary measures to ensure the security and stability of the world’s vital region, the source added. – SPA
