Europeans: King Abdulaziz Camels Festival key to attract tourists

RIYADH — Two delegations from the embassies of Germany and Switzerland paid a visit on Saturday to the King Abdulaziz Camels Festival being held in Southern Al-Sayahid (Al-Sayahid Al-Janoubiyah), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

The two delegations watched several categories of the “Camel 30” (Jamal 30) competitions.

They said they were delighted to attend the festival, stressing that the camel races are an amazing and unique carnival, the like of which cannot be found in Europe or any other place.

These events are an attraction for tourists from all over the world, they asserted.

The festival’s events on Saturday were attended by a large crowd exceeding 8,000 people, including Saudis and foreign tourists. — SPA
