Pak Punjab thumps Super Asia to lift MBS Vision 2030 NCC 2019 title

JAZAN — Pak Punjab Cricket Club snatched an exciting 8 wickets win against Super Asia Cricket Club in the final to lift the MBS Vision 2030 National Cricket Championship 2019 in JRCA. The championship was organized by Jazan Region Cricket Association (JRCA) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC).

In the final Super Asia batted first after winning the toss and scored 102 for 5 wickets. Waseem Akhtar batted aggressively for 60 off 30 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours. Mohammed Aqlac picked up 2 wickets for 13 runs.

In reply, Pak Punjab started with a flurry with opener Aqeel Shahzad giving them a flying start blasting a aggressively 29 runs off 14 balls with 3 towering sixes and one four. After his dismissal, Zeeshan Shaini anchored one end with a match-winning unbeaten 33 off 19 balls studded with 3 fours and a six. Mujahid Ali contributed 18 off 10 balls to seal the win — reaching 104 for 2 wickets in 7.4 overs

After the match a prize distribution ceremony was held with SCC’s Rahat Choudhry the chief guest. He appreciated the way JRCA organized the MBS Vision 2030 National Cricket Championship 2019. He conveyed Nadeem Nadwi’s best wishes to JRCA for instilling a spirit of sportsmanship in the youth by organizing such excellent sporting activities and assured them of SCC support in future.

He congratulated the winner and runner up teams and handed over the cups to the captains of both teams, individual awards to players and to the best performers of the championship.

Winner — Pak Punjab; Runner-Up — Super Asia CC. Best Batsman — Zubair Butt of Pak National club. Best Bowler — Mujahid Sameer of Pak Punjab CC. Man of the Final — Mujahid Sameer of Pak Punjab CC.
