RIYADH — In the first week of February, a business delegation of Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Riyadh and Jeddah. The delegation was headed by Dr. Peter Ramsauer, president of Ghorfa, member of the German Bundestag, former federal minister of transport.

The program included, among others, meetings with Bandar Alkhorayef, minister of industry and mineral resources, Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, minister of commerce and investment, Dr. Khaled Al Shebani, deputy minister in the Ministry of Health, and the Saudi-German friendship group of the Shoura Council.

Further meetings, such as visits to SABIC, SAGIA and the Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP) as well as business-to-business meetings at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce sought to connect the representatives of the participating German companies with Saudi counterparts.

In addition to Dr. Peter Ramsauer the delegation included 30 representatives of various industries such as chemicals, health care, construction, energy, hospitality, engineering and technology and legal. — SG
