TAIF — A grand poetic evening was organized here at the weekend where works of renowned Urdu poets were presented in their own imitable style.

The event was organized by Socio Cultural Forum which was founded by Dr. Khaja Yaminuddin in 2018.

The main purpose of the forum is to have a deep understanding of the Urdu language and ways to promote it.

Dr. Yamin himself recites poetry of renowned poets such as Manzar Bhopali, Nawaz Deobandi and Majed Deobandi.

The host of the evening, Dr. Shakeel, is also an ardent Urdu fan who took utmost care in providing best hospitality to the guests .

The master of the ceremony, Dr. Yaminuddin, compered the entire program very professionally. His Urdu couplets during the program were very much applauded by the audience and he won many a heart at the event.

In his opening speech he gave a brief history of the forum and the importance of Urdu language. He also announced that the Socio Cultural Forum will be organizing Tamseeli Mushaira on a quarterly basis.

Poetic works of Faiz Ahmed, Iqbal, Rahat Indori and Manzar Bhopali were recited.

Dr. Chaudry Zahid and Dr. Qazi presented the poetry written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

The famous poem of Manzar Bhopali on the daughters was presented by Dr. Yaminuddin.

Dr. Mubeen Raza recited his own poetry

Dr. Shakeel presented famous couplets of Rahat Indori.

The event was followed by a sumptuous dinner.
