ACGC screens Pakistani movie 'Motorcycle Girl’

JEDDAH — The Asian Consul Generals Club (ACGC) screened a Pakistani movie “Motorcycle Girl” at the residence of Consul General of Pakistan Jeddah.

The event was attended by a large number diplomats, Saudi dignitaries and members of Pakistani community. The scenic beauty of the northern areas of Pakistan, shown in the movie, was highly admired by the participants.

Mrs. Fouzia Fayyaz, Consular at Pakistan Consulate, began the proceeding. She invited Consul General Pakistan Khalid Majid to make his welcome address.

Khalid Majid expressed his gratitude to the participants of the movie night. He also expressed gratitude to the Indonesian consul general who is the current president of ACGC for keeping the forum active and providing Pakistan an opportunity to showcase their culture before the august forum.

He said that the film is based on a true story of a girl, Zenith Irfan, who travels alone to Northern Areas of Pakistan on a motorcycle to fulfill her father’s dream.

Arshad Munir, Consular (Press), told Saudi Gazette that Pakistan Consulate also participated in Asian Food Festival held under the same banner at the Philippine Consulate.

A large number of diplomats attended the Asian Food Festival and enjoyed the Pakistani cuisine. Pakistan Biryani remained special attraction for the food lovers. The culturally designed stall of Pakistani food also gained attention amongst the gathering.
