Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with Italy: King tells Conte

RIYADH —
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman discussed on Friday efforts to tackle coronavirus and limit its impacts with the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte during a telephone call, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The two leaders expressed their hope that the efforts and policies of the G20 will succeed in overcoming the global pandemic.

King Salman confirmed that the Kingdom is following with deep concern the latest developments in Italy as a result of the spread of the virus and said that the Kingdom stands in solidarity with Italy in this critical time.

For his part, the Italian Prime Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the King for his feelings towards Italy and its people in this crisis.

Conte praised the success of the extraordinary G20 virtual summit last Thursday chaired by King Salman, and the important results that it brought to the world.
