172 Iraqi Umrah pilgrims leave for their country

JEDDAH -- The Ministry of Haj and Umrah on Monday supervised the departure of 172 Iraqi Umrah pilgrims from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The passengers include 140 for Erbil and 32 for Baghdad.

The ministry, in cooperation with the relevant health authorities, monitored the movement and stay of the pilgrims throughout their medical isolation period. Laboratory examination showed that they are safe from the novel coronavirus, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

In Makkah and Jeddah, the ministry provided these Umrah pilgrims with accommodation, hotels, food, transportation and all their needs until their departure from the Kingdom safely.
