DAMMAM — An official source at the Ministry of Interior said that in light of the recommendations of competent health authorities to enhance the precautionary measures to limit the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Kingdom and to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents, the following was decided:
First: Applying additional health precautionary measures to isolate Al-Atheer district in Dammam city, ban entry or exit from it, and impose a 24-hour curfew starting Wednesday (April 15) until further notice.
Second: Within the isolation area scope, the people of the aforementioned district are allowed to leave their houses for their necessary needs such as health care and food supplies from 6:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m.
Third: All authorized activities will continue with personnel performing their duties during the curfew times, in the isolated district, within the narrowest scope and according to the procedures and controls decided by the concerned authority.
The Ministry stressed that these measures were taken within the framework of Saudi Arabia's efforts to preserve the public health by preventing the spread of the Coronavirus, which are subject to continuous evaluation with the relevant health authorities.
The Ministry also called on everyone to be responsible through adhering to these measures. — SPA
