Dubai extends closure of restaurants, hotels and events until further notice

DUBAI — All hotels, restaurants, venues, events and inbound tours in Dubai will remain closed until further notice in light of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a circular issued by the Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) on Wednesday.

The circular said: “In line with Dubai Government Precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its residents and visitors, we extend all the Precautionary Circulars on the website until further notice.”

“Dubai Tourism will continuously evaluate the situation in coordination with the health authorities,” the circular further said.

Previous circulars issued by the DTCM included a temporary closure of all entertainment activities, fitness and health centers, as well as a suspension of sheesha services. — Agencies
