Saudi Olympic submits bid to host 2030 Asian Games

RIYADH — The Saudi Arabian National Olympic Committee has submitted a bid to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to host the Asian Games 2030.

The Saudi bid included a presentation on the Kingdom's ambitious vision which supports Riyadh to host this enormous sports event in Asia with participation of 45 nations and more than 10,000 male and female players competing 40 disciplines.

The presentation highlighted the advanced infrastructure at all levels in addition to providing cultural, technological and sports experience to cope with aspirations of the Asian sports players and to guarantee ideal organizing of this great sports event in coincidence with the Kingdom's celebration, God willing, of achieving objectives of the Vision 2030.

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, said: "The wise leadership's generous support accorded to all sectors makes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a global destination of the most important sports events.

“The Saudi bid to host the Asian Games 2030 affirms the leadership's keenness to host the sports events in order to celebrate with the Asia Continent the occasion of achieving objectives of our vision 2030."

The selection of the host city for the Asian Games in 2030 will be held at the OCA General Assembly on November. — SPA
