MUSCAT — Oman on Thursday registered 74 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,348, the Sultanate’s health ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency ONA.

Among the newly diagnosed cases, there are 39 Omanis and 35 expatriates, according to the statement.

The ministry, however, did not give a breakdown of the foreign patients' nationalities.

A total of 495 people have recovered, the ministry added.

The ministry once again called upon everyone to strictly adhere to health guidelines and regulations issued by competent authorities.

It also urged all citizens and residents to continuously clean hands with water and soap, avoid touching face, nose, mouth, and eyes, and follow healthy habits, while sneezing and coughing and not to leave homes except for absolute necessity. — SG
