Saudi Arabia donates SR10m to Palestine people to confront COVID-19

AMMAN — Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Naif Bin Bandar Al-Sudairy will inaugurate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s assistance to the Palestinian people to confront the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday at the embassy’s headquarters here.

The inauguration will be in the presence of the director of the Palestinian National Fund Minister Ramzi Khoury; the Palestinian Ambassador to Jordan Atallah Khairy and the director of the branch of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Jordan Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazeem.

The value of this aid is more than SR10 million, including 12 items of medical devices and supplies that have been contracted to be procured by the KSrelief from Europe, China and others from inside Saudi Arabia.

The assistance aims at strengthening the capabilities of the Palestinian Ministry of Health to protect the Palestinian people and curb the spread of Covid-19.

This aid comes as an implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to stand with the fraternal and friendly countries affected by this pandemic. — SPA
