MAKKAH — The Regional Laboratory, an affiliate of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Region, is continuing to provide distinctive services in conducting coronavirus related laboratory tests, according to the highest quality and safety standards, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Saturday.

It is deemed the biggest laboratory in the region in terms of the latest machines and equipment and is run by Saudi staff. It functions round the clock.

The Regional Laboratory serves the health facilities in Makkah Region in general. It also provides its services to other regions, like Al-Baha, Jazan and Asir, in conducting laboratory tests and COVID-19 related tests.

On behalf of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Region, the “Administration for Laboratories, Blood Banks and the Regional Laboratory” is keen on implementing the highest quality and safety standards for all the staff in the Regional Laboratory.

This they do by conducting laboratory tests round the clock and registering the results, in line with the system approved by the Ministry of Health.
