RIYADH —
An official source said that the “Kingdom Island” project is not related to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 projects.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the source stated that promotion of the project using the logo of Vision 2030 was without a license or prior permission from the competent authority, and hence legal procedures will be taken against it.

The source noted that information is being circulated about the unlicensed project, and it is in violation of the Kingdom’s regulations. The project is not at all affiliated with any of the executive programs or initiatives of the Vision.

“The projects related to the Vision 2030 are studied and approved in accordance with the governance approved by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA), and they are announced through SPA and the website of the Vision 2030,” the source added.
