RIYADH — Saudi Arabia reported 1,793 new coronavirus infections, with 10 more deaths on Thursday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
The new cases and deaths bring the Kingdom’s total number of COVID-19 infections to 33,731 and 219 fatalities.
The statement added that 1,015 more patients have fully recovered, taking the total number of recoveries to 7,798.
More than 300 infections were reported in Madinah and Jeddah with 396 and 315 cases respectively.
Makkah, Riyadh, Dammam, Al Khobar recorded 254, 194, 171, 120 cases respectively.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia on Thursday banned gatherings of more than five people under new regulations issued to curb the outbreak of coronavirus.
