JEDDAH — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has been distributing food baskets in many Muslim countries daily since the beginning of the holy month as part of its humanitarian and relief assistance.
KSrelief continued its operation in the Pakistani province of Punjab in cooperation with the local authorities to deliver the aid to beneficiaries' homes or their nearest sites, taking into account all precautionary measures being taken by the government to prevent the outbreak of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
KSrelief distributed 900 food baskets weighing 30 tons to needy families, benefiting 5,400 people in Lahore area, taking the total number of the distributed food baskets since the first day to 21,008 baskets.
In Jordan, KSrelief in cooperation with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization continued the distribution of food baskets to needy Jordanian, Syrian and Palestinian families in the country.
A total of 6,383 Ramadan food baskets were distributed, benefiting 33,191 individuals.
In Sudan, KSrelief joined hands with Aleghtinam Human Development Organization on Monday to distribute 3,200 Ramadan food baskets to needy people in a number of provinces, benefiting 19,200 individuals. — SPA
