Qatar reports 1,390 new cases

DUBAI -- Qatar reports 1,390 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 23,382, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

The virus-related death toll in Qatar is 14, while the total number of recoveries in the country stands at 3,143.

The number of daily reported cases in Qatar have been on the rise in the last few days, with 1,526 infections detected on Tuesday and 1,103 cases were confirmed on Monday.

Qatar has been ramping up its efforts to test more people, and has conducted a total of 139,127 coronavirus tests. -- Al Arabiya English
