UAE see more recoveries than new coronavirus cases

ABU DHABI —
The United Arab Emirates on Thursday recorded 894 new coronavirus cases and 946 recoveries, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention carried by UAE’s official news agency WAM.


The country has also reported four more deaths, taking the total number of coronavirus-related fatalities to 237 so far, a government official said during a daily press briefing.

With the new infections and recoveries, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and recoveries in the country stands at 26,898 and 12,755 respectively.

The ministry said the new cases were recorded after carrying out addition 43, 000 coronavirus tests as part of its plans to expand the scope of COVID-19 tests across the country for early detection and isolation.

All the newly diagnosed patients are undergoing treatment, the ministry added

The ministry expressed its regret and sincere condolences and condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.
