Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — The Ministry of Health announced that all citizens returning from abroad will be provided with small bracelets linked with Tatamman (rest assured) app in a new health measure to contain the spread of cronoavirus in the Kingdom.

The app which was launched early April, monitors the conditions of people showing symptoms of coronavirus and allows individuals who are self-isolating or in quarantine to access up-to-date advice and information on the virus and their health status.

The ministry said that the measure aims to direct the returnees to home isolation instead of quarantine facilities with a daily follow-up for their health, adding that the ministry will directly communicate with them via Tatamman application.

In a case of non-compliance with the instructions, the ministry warned that legal action will be taken, pointing out that this measure is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and in line with the established medical practices.

The ministry called on whoever has symptoms or would like a check-up, to use the self-assessment service in MAWID application, inquire or consult the helpline number which is available round the clock, or inquire or consult through WhatsApp number 920005937.
