Hadaf disburses SR1.6 million for delivery app Saudi workers

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) deposited SR1.6 million in bank accounts of delivery app Saudi workers.

The move is part of the fund’s initiative, which was launched in April in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Communications and Information Technology Commission, to support citizens in private sector.

The disbursement is the first batch of financial support for the month of April and the procedures are being completed for disbursing amount to a number of other beneficiaries of the initiative for the month of April.

It is noteworthy that the program to support delivery app Saudi workers is aimed at raising the levels of Saudization in this activity and creating new job opportunities that meet different types of work, including self-employment).

It is also in response to the precautionary health measures undertaken by the government agencies to reduce the economic and health consequences of the coronavirus pandemic as it provides financial support to delivery app Saudi workers SR3000 riyals per month for a period of two months.
