The new cases were detected following 35,000 tests conducted over the past few days, the ministry said.

The ministry also announced new 561 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 15,056.

Meanwhile, testing centers across the UAE are closed only for the festival day of Eid Al Fitr on Sunday.

The centers, which are run by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), said in a statement that some facilities will reopen on the second and third days of Eid, while more screening centers will be operational only from Wednesday. However, in the following week, nine new testing centers will be opened, bringing the total number of facilities to 24.
