6 killed, 3 injured in shooting in Asir province

RIYADH — Six people were killed and three injured in a shooting incident on Tuesday involving many people in Al Amwah governorate in Asir province, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Two of the deceased were in their 20s and the third was just four years old.

The injured were transferred to the hospital to receive medical aid and the weapons used in the crime were seized, Asir police spokesman Lt. Col. Zaid Mohammed Al-Dabbah was quoted as saying.

The hunt was launched to apprehend the remaining accused and refer them to the Public Prosecution, the spokesman added.
