Saudi Arabia sees consistent drop in new COVID-19 cases and rise in recoveries

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Wednesday recorded 1,815 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom to 78,541, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

A total of 2,572 patients have completely recovered, raising the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 51,022, the statement added.

There has been a consistent drop in the number of infections and increase in the number of recoveries in the Kingdom in the last few days.

he ministry also announced 14 more deaths, bringing the coronavirus-related fatalities to 425.

Of the new cases, Riyadh reported 739, Jeddah 325, Makkah 162, Hufuof 118, Dammam 74 and Al Khobar 54.
