KUWAIT CITY — As many as 1,382 coronavirus patients have recovered in Kuwait during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases thus far to 14,281, the health ministry said.
According to the ministry, lab analyses and tests showed that the patients were already cured of the virus. They would be shifted to recuperation wards before being discharged from hospital within a couple of days.
Also 887 new coronavirus cases and six new deaths were recorded in the country, bringing the total number of active infections to 14,142, the ministry said Tuesday. The country continues to report a steady increase of cases daily; there were 719 new cases on Monday.
The ministry also announced it had conducted a total of 300,351 COVID-19 tests, including 3,325 in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 314 are Kuwaiti citizens, and the rest were found in Indian, Egyptian, and Bangladeshi nationals. -- Agencies
