RIYADH/JEDDAH — Four special flights carrying Saudi citizens stranded abroad due to outbreak of the global coronavirus pandemic arrived at Riyadh and Jeddah airports on Thursday, according to a Saudi Press Agency report.

The special flights are being operated in implementation of directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to ensure health and safety of Saudi citizens abroad following the outbreak of pandemic until their safe return to the Kingdom.

Of the four flights, two arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh from the US cities of Washington and Houston and two landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport from the US city of New York and the Lebanese capital Beirut.

Upon their arrival, the citizens were received by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Health and the General Authority of Civil Aviation and were instructed to follow all precautionary and preventive measures to combat coronavirus and to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
