RIYADH — Saudi Border Guards in the Madinah Region rescued two citizens, off the Yanbu coast, Saudi Press Agency reported quoting the spokesperson for the border guards in the region, Lt. Col. Fahd Bin Faraj.

According to the spokesman, the two citizens contacted emergency number 994 asking for help, as their boat malfunctioned, off the sea, while they were on a ride.

Following the contact, Border Guards naval patrols pinpointed their position and provided them with the necessary required help and their safety was assured, in addition to tugging their boat to the shores.

The spokesman called on all those who have boats to check their preparedness, run regular maintenance and not to hesitate in calling or contacting number 994, in case of any emergency.
