Kuwait records 683 new cases, recoveries stand at 1,126

KUWAIT CITY — With 683 new cases reported during the last 24 hours, the number of confirmed infections in Kuwait increased to 33,823, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

A total of 1,126 people recovered from the virus during the same period, bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 23,288, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said.

Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 275 after two people died due to complications from COVID-19.

Some of the new cases are of people who had direct contact with previously infected individuals, the ministry said.

Kuwaitis make up 274 of the new cases, Indians make up 130, Bangladeshis make up 58, and Egyptians make up 51 of the infections. The rest of the cases belonged to other nationalities. — Agencies
