JEDDAH —
King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah launched on Friday a Master of Arts in Theater Literature program at the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, inviting applications for the enrolment, which will be open from June 15 to June 25 and can be done through the Deanship of Graduate Studies website.

Expressing happiness over the development, Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan tweeted, saying that theater and cinematic arts are a step toward our cultural renaissance.

Meanwhile, a member of the Scientific Council at the university and head of the Department of Arabic Language, Dr. Abdul Rahman Raja Allah Al-Sulami said that the program is one of the achievements of the King Abdulaziz University, through which the university seeks to enhance the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The theater in itself is a complete form of arts and it is a mirror that reflects the image of the society and works to address its problems, highlight aspirations, develop behavior and cultural and artistic taste, he added.
