RIYADH — The Saudi Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced its operational guidelines under the government’s Covid-19 precautions, noting that a majority of its services are available online.

The ministry urged clients and beneficiaries to use Najiz.sa portal for their transactions. These services are also available on the unified communication center 1950.

The ministry said that the rules are in line with precautions and preventive protocols approved by health authorities, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

Many electronic systems have been launched, covering services including documentation, training and conciliation, in order to reduce the number of people visiting facilities.

The ministry said that people must book appointments through the Najiz portal, arrive five minutes before an appointment, present a digital copy of the appointment to be verified and visit the judicial office specified in the appointment.

It added that no one will be permitted entry without an appointment. Entry will only be allowed at the booked time slot on the specified date.

The ministry said several categories of people will be denied entry for public safety. These include people aged 65 or over, children under 15, people with special circumstances such as those with chronic diseases and pregnant women, and clients or those accompanying them who show coronavirus symptoms and those accompanying them.

The ministry said these groups should communicate with the unified communication center 1950, in order to be provided with an appropriate solution.

The ministry emphasized the need to comply with precautionary measures, including wearing face masks, maintaining a safe physical distance, and adhering to temperature detection checks before entering facilities.

Ministry employees will be working two shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to serve more people.
