Ministry of Sport and SDRPY sign deal to support sport in Yemen

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation to support sport in Yemen.

The MoU was signed by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sport, and Muhammad Bin Saeed Al Jaber, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Yemen and the general supervisor of the SDRPY.

The move comes as a continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to harness all the capabilities of government agencies to assist brothers in Yemen in alleviating their suffering and is within the framework the program to establish partnerships with various entities and organizations locally and internationally to develop Yemen in various fields.

The partnership aims to enhance the capabilities of the Yemeni youth, to develop various sporting activities in the country, and to improve the efficiency and quality of sports facilities in the country as well as to produce specialists in the fields of sport and culture.
