RIYADH — The Saudi Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has issued a guide to its e-litigation service, explaining how to use the service provided by the Najiz.sa portal.
“The guide details the steps for electronic exchange of briefs, responding to the panel’s questions, attaching files, requesting time extensions and pleading through videoconferencing,” the MoJ said.
“As for judicial hearings, a client receives a text message notifying him or her that the case has been transferred to the e-litigation platform, including the date and the link for joining the virtual hearing,” the ministry added.
“For any service not available on Najiz.sa, a client can reserve a date for the in-person service through the same portal,” the ministry explained.
The MoJ launched its e-litigation initiative in order to enhance digitization and improve efficiency. The service includes procedures such as the electronic exchange of briefs, e-filing of documents, digital pleading, virtual hearings, and digital delivery of judgments.
